Our Founder

Our founder, Dr. Boedi Mranata, has been credited not only for founding the company but also for pioneering a lot of practices in bird’s nest industry. Many of his Science approached methodologies become the standardization around the world. Until now Dr. Boedi Mranata is trusted to be the Head of Indonesian Bird’s Nest Traders and Farmers Association (APPSWI) and the Vice President of Asian Birdnest Trade Association (ABTA) that is based in Singapore. He still shares bird’s nest knowledge across industry and advices different ministries up until now. We are truly grateful and honored that our founder has been acknowledged as the trusted and credible voice within the industry by different bird’s nest associations and government entities. Nevertheless his life story has not always been remarkable, Dr. Boedi Mranata started in a humble beginning.

During his childhood Mr. Boedi was living in a small town of Banyuwangi, in the corner of East Java, Indonesia. Banyuwangi, far from city life, was still surrounded by a pristine environment. During this time Mr. Boedi grew his passion toward natures and animals. Nevertheless our founder found it difficult to find good opportunities in that small village, thus he decided to go to Germany and study Biology. At that time studying abroad was expensive and rare, in Banyuwangi History at that time there had been only very view that manage go abroad for study.

With resilience and focus, he managed to obtain a Ph.D degree in Biology in 1984. He was also awarded with the highest honor in education system: Summa Cum Laude. After his first son was born, he pondered on human’s purpose in life. He soon came to a realization that unlike animal, human being has a superior ability to create and add value in this world. With this mindset, he was determined to innovate something for the greater benefit of society. Making use of his biology background, Dr. Boedi dedicates his life on discovering new bird’s nest knowledge, developing the best product, and making it accessible to everyone.

Starting in 1988, Dr. Boedi has been pioneering various farming methods, transitioning from traditional to modern. Before the 80s, bird’s nest owner used to only believe in fortune. Using his scientific background, Dr. Boedi is among the pioneer that decoded the “secrets” of good farming and processing practices. With increasing production, Dr. Boedi started to develop a reputation as the King of Bird’s Nest (see publications). The product (under the wholesale brand Xiao Niao, BM, and Thousand Farms) has penetrated in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore supplying to the biggest TCM (Traditional Chinese Medication) retail companies. Now, our company also develops our own retailing capabilities under the brand “Pristine Farms”. With our integrated operation from farming to delivery, our customers can reap full benefits of total quality control from our product.

Today, almost 30 years since company’s establishment, his personal value has penetrated deep into our company culture. Enhancing people life is our core value, thus we have always been committed to keep on improving our practices in order to maximize the nutritional value and safety of the bird’s nest. "Pristine Farms" and "Xiao Niao" Bird's Nest operates with scientific precision in its every process.
